Leadership that keeps the work practical

Lutho Mbekweni, our Managing Director, sets the pace from our base in Montague Gardens. He keeps the focus on clear turnarounds, reliable quality and practical choices for corporate events, whether the order is going to Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban. He knows clients want items that look good on the day and still hold up after the event, especially when orders move in bulk and the deadlines are tight.

Lutho also keeps a close eye on supply planning and delivery routes, which matters when load-shedding, weather delays or split deliveries come into play. His approach is simple: understand the brief, keep the stock moving and make sure the final result matches the brand on the page.

Sales and client support from the first enquiry

Anika van Rooyen leads sales and helps clients choose the right belt bags and promotional bags for the job at hand. She works with corporate teams, event organisers and marketing departments that need sensible advice on branding methods, quantities and timing. If a client is deciding between screen printing, heat transfer or embroidery, Anika helps weigh up the finish, the budget and how the item will be used.

Megan Jacobs handles client services with steady attention to detail. She keeps communication clear, tracks order progress and helps clients through sampling, artwork sign-off and delivery planning. Her role matters on larger runs where split deliveries or event kitting need careful coordination, and where one missed detail can throw off the whole schedule.

Production work that holds up under pressure

Sibusiso Dlamini leads production and keeps the physical side of the job organised. He oversees the setup for logo printing, embroidery, debossing and heat transfer, making sure each run is prepared properly before it goes out. On busy weeks, he manages multiple orders at once and keeps the team focused on finish, placement and consistency.

He also deals with the realities of South African production, from power cuts to short lead times and last minute changes. His mindset is practical: get the goods ready, check the detail, and make sure the final packs leave in good order.

  • Production scheduling for bulk orders
  • Quality checks before dispatch
  • Rush orders handled with clear sign-off

Artwork and branding with proper attention to detail

Thabo Molefe is our Artwork and Branding Specialist, and he makes sure every logo is set up correctly before production starts. He works on artwork preparation, print placement and branding alignment so that names, colours and layouts stay true to the brief. This is especially important for corporate events where the branding needs to look clean across every unit, not just on one sample.

Thabo also helps clients understand what will work best on different bag materials and finishes. A logo that suits embroidery may need a different approach for screen printing or debossing, and he keeps that process practical and easy to follow.

Dispatch, quality and day of event readiness

Zanele Petersen runs dispatch and quality control, and she is the last pair of eyes before an order leaves our floor. She checks counts, pack quality and overall finish, then makes sure the goods are ready for collection or delivery. For events in Cape Town, Pretoria or Gqeberha, that final check can save a lot of trouble later.

Zanele is also part of the planning behind event kitting and split delivery. If one consignment has to go to a venue and another to a head office, she keeps the pack lists accurate and the timing on track. Her work is often quiet, but it makes a big difference when the clock is moving fast.

  • Final quality checks on every batch
  • Bulk packing for conferences and activations
  • Split delivery coordination across provinces

The wider support team behind the scenes

Our support network includes the Montague Gardens Studio, Cape Town Supply, Johannesburg Supply, Pretoria Supply, Durban Supply, Gqeberha Supply, Bellville Support and Somerset West Support. That spread helps us respond properly to orders across the country without losing track of the detail. It also means clients can get practical help with sampling, stock planning and delivery timing in more than one region.

What ties the team together is a straightforward way of working. We keep things clear, check the details and make sure each order is treated properly from first discussion to final dispatch. Whether the job is a small branded run or a larger event order, the people behind BeltBag Branded are set up to handle it in a way that makes sense.
